
Associate Professor Elina Apsite-Berina from the University of Latvia took part in the conference “New Pathways, New Perspectives: Migration to Non-Traditional Destinations” at the University of Oslo on February 27, 2025. She presented her research, “Shaping a Multipolar ISM Landscape: Lessons from the Baltics,” as part of the project “International Student Mobility Towards Off-Beat Destinations: Geography, Demographic Profile, and Lived Experiences in Latvia.”
The conference focused on broadening migration scholarship by shifting attention beyond traditional destinations, providing new insights and expanding theoretical frameworks in the field.
